1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Granmaakit mobile app, the Granmaakit Partner Portal, and related services provided by Granmaakit ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the services.

2. The Granmaakit service

Granmaakit is a platform that connects people looking to rent vehicles with independent rental partners who list and operate their own fleets. Granmaakit facilitates vehicle discovery and browsing, rental cost estimates, rental requests, bookings, and related communication. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Granmaakit is not the owner or operator of listed vehicles and is not a party to the rental agreement formed between a renter and a partner.

3. Accounts and eligibility

• You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering and keep your account information up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must meet the minimum age and licensing requirements that apply to the services you use, including any requirements set by the partner whose vehicle you rent.
• Notify us promptly through Help & Support if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

4. Identity verification

To help keep the platform safe, we may require identity verification before you can use certain features. You agree to provide truthful verification information and documents. Use of verification data is described in our Privacy Policy. We may decline, suspend, or revoke access where verification cannot be completed or indicates a safety or fraud concern.

5. Rentals, requests, and bookings

• Rental requests — submitting a rental request for a listed vehicle is an offer to transact on the stated terms at the estimated price shown to you. A booking is formed only when the partner accepts your request through the platform; requests may also be declined by the partner, cancelled by you while pending, or expire if not answered in time.
• Pricing, taxes, and fees — before you submit a request, the platform presents an itemized cost estimate: the vehicle's daily rate multiplied by the rental days, plus any applicable taxes for the vehicle's country and platform fees. Charges may be expressed in more than one currency, in which case totals are shown per currency. You agree to pay all amounts due for bookings made under your account.
• Cancellations — cancellation terms are shown at the time of booking and may vary by partner and listing.
• Vehicle condition and use — renters must use vehicles lawfully and return them in the condition received, normal wear excepted, and in accordance with the rental agreement formed with the partner.

6. Partner obligations

Partners are independent businesses responsible for their own listings, fleets, and rental operations. Partners must ensure that listing information is accurate, that vehicles are roadworthy, insured, and legally compliant, and that team members granted portal access are authorized to act on the partner's behalf. Additional obligations may be set out in your partner agreement, which prevails over these Terms where the two conflict.

7. Acceptable use

When using our services you agree not to:

• provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or impersonate any person or business;
• circumvent the platform to avoid fees owed on transactions initiated through Granmaakit;
• interfere with, probe, or disrupt the services, or attempt to access accounts or data belonging to others;
• use the services to harass, threaten, or harm other users or to violate any applicable law.

8. Content and intellectual property

The Granmaakit name, branding, apps, and services are protected by intellectual property rights and remain our property. Content you submit (such as listings, photos, feedback, and messages) remains yours; you grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display, and use it as needed to operate and improve the services. You are responsible for having the rights to any content you submit.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, and we are not liable for disputes between renters and partners, for the condition or performance of listed vehicles, or for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the services. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms have been breached, where required by law, or to protect the safety and integrity of the platform. Obligations that by their nature should survive termination — including payment obligations and liability limitations — survive it.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as an in-app notice or e-mail. Continued use of the services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Granmaakit operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the mandatory consumer protection laws of your place of residence provide otherwise.
